Enjoyed dinner Nongs tonight. My wife & I shared 1 kilo of ribs (actually 2 kilos, we ordered a second order ate half and took away the other half) and a mixed Thai salad. The ribs were excellent, sauce was tangy & sweet and came with a side of french fries. Best fries I've had since leaving the US, reminded me of McD fries back in the USA. The kids shared a plate of fried shrimp with a side of fries, plentyfull and aroy ma. Menu appeared to have good choices both Thai and western and service was A++. Also noted a good choice of beers and mixed drinks at reasonable prices. The restaurant was open, airy and very comfortable. The owner, Nong and her husband were very friendly, hospitable and attentive. Will certainly be back for more... :D

My g/f and I have been eating there 3-5 times a week since they opened. All I can say is the food is very tasty, ample servings, and Nong and Eddie certainly do try to make you comfortable and welcome. Good luck to them.

It would be nice if more advertisors offered discounts or coupons.

I'll be trying Nong's this weekend.

Went to Udon yesterday,Planned on staying most of the week at the BB Resort and eating ribs at Nongs.Wasn't comfortable with the BB and I couldn't find Nongs,so we ate at the Taco place and drove home!
After eating and looking at Udonmap for the Taco Place,I found Nongs, drove by about 1500,saw one falang sitting there! Will try it next time,as my wife and daughter were moaning and groaning about being hungry as I drove around initially looking for it

I give it double thumbs up too, the ribs were excellent. Most Thai dishes are 25bt, Ribs 1/2 kilo 60 baht, Grilled chicken & salad sandwich with French fries 55 baht, Pork chop 50bt. The prices are cheap but the food is very good, I would recommend this place.

Ate there lunch time. Would endorse everything said on here. food excellent. Wife and son each had a large pork slice and lots of trimmings, I had 1/2 kilo of ribs with chips, had to order a second one as the boy devoured most of the first. Wife had som tum and then yum, guess we must have been hungry. all that plus a big Chang 350bht. Great friendly owners completed the experience. The 5% discount is only if you spend more than 500bht, but at those prices , who cares.Definitely going back.

missed you Val. had dinner there this evening, have to jump on board and agree with all comments, no negatives here.

a very comfortable and pleasant setting, of approximately 8 tables for 4, one for 6, no problem for larger parties, as everything is well spaced and i'm sure not a problem to combine tables. very open and airy seating area with plenty of plants. small bar with about 6 stools, then a few along the road side if wanting to see udon pass by. staff is prompt and attentive, music at nice level to engage in conversation and tv almost mute, but enough for little one to peek at when i'm not looking. restroom with soap and paper towels, there is no end to udon's progess. plenty of off street parking behind shops and along rear side of restaurant.

i went with the ribs, kilo for 120 bt, (1/2 kilo 60 bt), Ree went with grilled cheese sandwich 35 bt, little one had tom yam kung 50 bt i think. i also had shrimp patties 50 bt. washed down with lg heiny, 75 bt. all beers are discounted 5 bt till 4 pm i think. free water provided if really wanting to be cheaper than me, very hard to do. with few exceptions, most items, western or thai are 50 baht or less. pork, chicken 50 baht along with pork chop, all w/fries, as are the sandwichs. everything tasty and meeting my expectations, rib sauce was very tasty and a generous amount. restaurant was very clean and no flies or critters about. will be returning, as my list of open air restaurants i will visit has gone way down. mainly due to fly population. will still go to Thai Orchid, night market, Taco place and that's about it. still like my malibu chicken burger at bkk grill, but take away now and usually munch at food court at mall.

along with everyone else, we also recommend a stop at Nong's, tasty stuff and won't break the bank.

Went there Wed nite with friends. They all loved it, but then, they eat ribs and I don't. I had the chicken, which was the blandest I've ever eaten. So I put catsup on it, which made it taste like catsup. Wish someone would suggest they add garlic, onion- SOMETHING- to give it some taste. Still, the patio is nice, the people were nice, it was okay. Won't put it in the same category with Rabian Patchanee, but then the price is maybe half at Nong's.

on the bottom of menu, last page i think

"i you like us, tell your friends, if something wrong, tell us"

or something like that. the owner brought some cloth napkins to table for that rib experience, and asked if all was ok. taking a real interest if we were satisfied, which we were. they seem to welcome any critism or advise offered.

Hmm...when is the university back in session. May have to stop in for lunch and sit along the raod side and see Udon pass by...

thought and expressed the same to Ree, "hmm, nice place to sit and watch chickies come home from uni during afternoon", which got the usual "why you think like that", hmm, gee, i could go somewhere and listen to thai music or tv turned too high and annoying, or sit and drink inexpensive beer and check out the chickies, hmm, what to do. then asked her if she thinks i go to the night market just because her sister makes good yum, yea right. she takes it all in stride and laughs, but i keep all the shape instruments lock up when i sleep

just remember honey, we don't have a problem until i stop looking at the chickies, then something is definitely wrong 8) .
