I know a mate of mine who might actually print off this topic and leave it on the table when he does a runner on the coke he will order.

Are you sure it didn't say 'No-Way' bar...as she scratched off the 'r' to throw any detectives off the scent of her dealings.

This reminds me about their funny thai-anglitt where they pronounces "No-way " and some norwegians also understand this as " go away" ,maybe a good idea for "the next victim(bar-owner) " who wants his dream of life come true : [size=150][b]"Go-Away Bar " :mrgreen:

for a thrustful and familiar wife "

plenty of those around

sorry

i'll go sit in my corner

{i cannot imagine many thai men accepting that gracefully and chalking it up to experience

without something happening}

I think I would be more inclined to walk into the bar and when asked "what you like some drink" or whatever, ask where's Mr Norway (the farang owner) - when told he's not here or we don't have, or the owner is a Thai lady, then just say "Oh, nice man" and just walk out again. (I'll come and have a drink with him when he's back, type of thing)

The object of the exercise being that they get no business, and to convey that had Mr Norway been there they would have had lots of customers, (but now they don't).

If that all makes sense! :?

I really like that idea. what's his first name, so we can drop that on her, then walk out.

You want to read about a naive ,ignorant and ''stupid man,read Stickmans interview on this last Sundays column.This guy takes no responsibility for money management or the fact that after 3 weeks ,he married her and made all his financial decisions,now he is broke and alone in Thailand.Poor baby! #-o

We all make mistakes from ignorance,naivity and emotional imbalances,but to put it all on the line,is pitifull! :roll:

Should do what i did to my ex-fiance in England. After she dumped me I arranged to meet her in a posh hotel where she would hand over a few non-valuable items that I had left in our house. Walked up to her a poured my beer over her head. Priceless.

i think i would have a chit chat with the gal that introduced them to each other, wonder what her percentage was :yikes:

yes, he does take stupid to new level. i did the same, married in less than 2 monts, but no monetary committment and if changed mind, just not return to thailand, seemed simple enough, as only second visit here and still undecided where to retire.

i'm guessing, if he persued it, he could win in civil and criminal court, as do you think she ever got divorced from canadian, doubtful, so obvious fraud, each occurance is 2 yrs in jail. could probably win a judgement in civil, but collecting would be another matter. at best, get agreement to pay on paper, on payments, then if possible, jailed for contempt of court for non payment....................though all that would cost and way too much time. a thai would handle it differently, cheaper, a bit dearer consequences, and a 'permanent' solution.....................and nobody would care.
