Nuclear Submarine Runs Aground

Postby Seahawk » October 22, 2010, 5:02 pm

Reports are coming in that a Nuclear Submarine (presumably British) has run aground on the Coast of Scotland. Nuclear Subs are of course water-tight, so presumably there is no threat, but one has to ask the question how this could possibly happen?

It would appear not to be just any nuclear sub either..
The Royal Navy's newest and largest attack submarine HMS Astute has run aground off Skye, the Ministry of Defence (MoD) has confirmed.

An eye-witness said the sub - described as the stealthiest ever built in the UK - appeared to have grounded.

Obviously a submarine that is so stealthy that even the captain & crew don't know where it is could possibly be just too stealthy... :D :D

Perhaps it's merely incompetence personified.

Perhaps the world should feel relieved cmeron clegg slashed the ***** defense budget more than 10 percent
Perhaps the masquerade is over
Perhaps ****** will stop pretending they have influence across the globe.

Perhaps things will get better.

Perhaps American troops will have their uniforms ironed by more capable help -- like Mongolians or Poles.

Perhaps the incompetence could be personified even further in discussions with these folks. :D

US nuclear submarine runs aground

A US nuclear submarine has run aground south of the Pacific island of Guam, injuring several sailors on board.

The nuclear reactor on the USS San Francisco was not damaged in the incident, which is currently being investigated, the US Navy said............

If anyone took your posts seriously you really might be seen as an obnoxious idiot Tex.
Luckily everyone sees that it is just a misplaced attempt at irony as there are your usual number of factual errors in your post. Maybe, one day, you might actually get something right - or is that "proper" ??? :D :D

I suppose they were lucky there was none of the American Fleet in the area otherwise they would have had to worry about friendly fire as well

Perhaps it's time to stop feeding the TROLL! He obviously gets his rocks off submitting crap to threads in which he has no idea what they are about.

Perhaps it's time UdonMap.com gave this fool a holiday!

Whatever the reason for this apparent state of mis-handling of one Her Majesties Warships, not only the Captain but also most of the officers will be wondering about their futures, as in all cases of a an accident a Court martial will be set up to determine the reasons and at whose door will the fault end up.
Any person who has ever sailed, rowed or even motored across any parts of any seas and oceans in this world will know how difficult it is to ascertain the mood of the oceans and seas, despite being such a large submarine etc: the power of the sea is often underestimated and can and does sneak up on you. Although I tend to come to the conclusion that this was just a c888-up.
