Didn't see a topic on this, thought I'd share a positive experience.
Two months ago my wife, with new found free time as both kids started school, became involved with her friend selling Unicity nutritional supplements (MLM business, like Amway). I could not find any negative information on the net regarding their products, other than they seem relatively expensive. At age 50 I had never been on a diet or taken anything special, though to be sure I have gained weight over time, seems like one kg per year over the past decade, all around my middle.
Intending to go along and be supportive (regardless of cost as long as within reason) for first 2 weeks I took BiosLife before each breakfast and lunch, plus drank Nature's T detox tea each night before bed. This tea seemed very effective to cleanse the body. Starting at 101 kg, I lost nearly 3 kg, motivating me to keep going.
Thinking the first kgs are probably the easiest to lose, and feeling motivated, I ramped it up by replacing the evening meal with their drink called "Lean Complete" (not yet distributed in Thailand, someone hand carries it in from Singapore, I had to ask for it after net research) and still taking BiosLife before breakfast and lunch. Note I continue to eat copious breakfast and lunch, and same as always exercise (not more) by walking 30 minutes per day around Nong Prajak, though did eliminate snacks between meals. My total weight loss in two months is now 8 kg. Futher benefits include lower blood pressure and cholesterol, among others.
My wife lost 5-6 kg shedding almost all the weight she gained over two pregnancies. Am not sure she'll make any money in the MLM side, never mind, we are feeling healthier.
Am concerned about regaining weight due to flights and business travels each month, we'll see. Having never lost weight, I believe this has been an effective strategy and thus worth sharing. Am not sure I'd keep going long term with due to costs, we'll see what happens when I go off the products, if maintain lower weight or start getting it back.
I know some folks will say it's a waste of money and just go exercise more intensively - let it rip.
Anyone have good or bad experiences with Unicity or similar products?
