Nutty park Gossip

Hi all im just wanting to catch up on the "nutty park" news...
Is there still 2 tattoo bars in there? I know the PHON tattoo But last OCT there was a another tattoo shop in there i forget the name of it???? I got a very good tatt of him and had a great session on the beer that day as well!!!
I beleive theres an Aussie burger bar there? that sounds good?

Nutty Park continues to operate, overpriced beer in an exceptionally noisy environment, tho I should add it's better than day & night.
Probably suit the visitor with money to spend rather than those on fixed income where small beer bars like D Corrner Saloon Bar and Fuzzy Kens serve a more reasonably priced drink in a nice atmosphere.
Burgers are ok but why not try the many Thai eateries, after all you can get all the aussie burgers you want when you are back in Aus!!

Hi tafia,i fully agree with you post.. And yes i only holiday in Udon with my thai wife so i im cashed up and dont even really check the beer prices! And yes you sound like my wife in regards to eating more thai food,its so healthy.. but i must be a TRUE AUSSIE i love my bread so much even when in thailand!!!!!!
Most people i meet at the DAY/NIGHT and NUTTY PARK are only on holidays.. I like having a beer in the dirt floor shop near the wifes house and often many expacts come along and sit there with me and drinkt he cheap beer cans i really enjoy that as well!!!
But i really want to know if that other tattoo bar is still in nutty park?

Watch those WFB's at nutty park. One left her fone number in OT's pocket for Mrs OT to find.

aussie burgers , rob ex of jingjoes ,has delicous burgers
he now has a bar , in ossy ave , top end of nutty park .
he is a great guy .

I've only been to Nutty Park A few times.The last time was about 9 months ago.The prices the girls were charging was
way to much.Or maybe it was just me.Day and night was more reasonable

A few weeks back my buddies and I were up in Udon Thani and we checked out this area. Quite a lot of bars were open and 3 or 4 are new waiting for a fit out. The 2nd or 3rd bar into the complex was owned by a Thai lady and had some girls waitressing, it was a great easy feeling joint, no hassles, just a little bit lol. Up the end was a Dutch bar, big bar, plenty of room to move and a decent pool table, we had grub from this joint and we will be going back.

Around the corner was another Dutch owned bar selling of all things, kebabs......after a couple of Leos I had a kebab and although not as good as BKK kebab stalls, it was getting up there, great taste and value for money. Across from him was Honey Bar, Auzzie owned and we spent the rest of the night and early hours playing pool, great host and had nice waitresses working there. I did look along towards a car park and more Auzzie bars were open, but did not get up there, only glanced at the vacant units really, thinking this could be the new go area for Udon.

As for gossip or rumours, didnt hear any and not interested. When we get back to Udon, this will be our playing area, not the Day Night joint, been there before, too many LBs and hassles, no atmosphere, as I read somewhere before, The Cow Shed, it lives up to that name.

Since moving to Udon 2 years ago i have seen the soap opera that is Nutty Park has just keep rolling on with the web of rumour about bar sales , punchups , loan sharks and police exstortion dominating the storylines , even a bit or romance when Dao of grasshopper fame sold up to Aussie Peter and fell into the arms of the young handsome chiselled granite torso of Chern Chim jon !! ............to be continued ..........

Not all of us mate, some of us are happily married and prefer the quieter bars with reasonably priced beers that I mentioned in my earlier post...where you can meet friends chat, chew the fat or even take your wife or GF.
Why would I pay 100 Baht for a large Leo in NP when I can get it for 60/65 at the Saloon Bar, Fuzzys, D Corrner or the many other small beer bars.
When you live here on a pension the last thing you need is to be ripped off by high priced bars, screaming girls, or pestered by ladyboys.... but if thats what blows your horn you are welcome to it.
As you say horses for courses!!
But do we want Udon recognised as a venue for sex tourists? I dont!!
