Day 1 complete, and the result of the pairs :---- A Beer too Far 6pts Up 2 you 2pts.

A great days entertainment on the course was followed by a free buffet at Up 2 you bar, where the prizes for Nearest the pin were awarded. I always find it amusing, how some guys, as soon as there is a mention of free beer, manage to pull out a stunning shot.

The rest of us didn't get a look in

Tomorrow is singles day, and as with the "Real" Ryder Cup, anything can happen, and usually does.
Everything to play for with 16pts up for grabs (and another dozen free beers )
Tee off time is now 08:00 for the first group out, with the others following at approx 7 min intervals.

The free players buffet will be served in A Beer too Far at approx 16:30

Day 2 got underway at the Lion Golf Club (Wing 23), with several of our Scandinavian competitors complaining about the cold (something they are obviously not use to back home )

As there were no "Big Screens" placed around the course with the current state of play displayed, each player was only able to concentrate on his own match, and nobody knew how anyone else was doing until they returned to the "19th hole".

Most of the matches were close encounters, where the lead changed hands on at least one occation, but in the end, after his hangover wore off, Jan was able to lead his "Beer too far" team to a comfortable victory.

As with the previous day at "Up 2 You" bar, a superb free buffet was laid on at "A Beer too far" for all the players, and thanks were given to both Leif and Jan, and to all their staff, for their efforts in providing such good free food.

The "Closest to the Pin" prizes ( ) were handed out to Nam and Malcolm, and I'm pretty sure that all the free drinks were consumed fairly quickly.

This was followed by the presentation of the "Nutty Park Ryder Cup Trophy" to Jan on behalf of his "A Beer Too Far" team.

Statto is able to reveal that, after an "exclusive" interview with Leif, he is looking to strengthen his squad before next years competition.

A source close to the team said " We have two or three players in mind, and hope to complete the transfers during this years transfer window. Nam is an obvious target, as she completed two comfortable wins this year, picked up a closest to the pin prize, and is also the best looking player, but we are also considering a move for Malcolm, not for his golfing abilities, but because he does the scoreing, and is known to be pretty shakey at maths after a few beers. This we feel would be a good Insurance policy".

Statto's Sports Agency is willing to handle any players contract renewal, or transfer, for a very reasonable 10%.
