Without a doubt Dieter provided us with some great meals. But his presence will be missed more than anything he had on the menu. Rest well old friend.

Is Dieter's wife going to keep restaurant open, anyone know?
The day Dieter died he told me how pleased he was that his Baker man had been with him for two years.
It'd sure be nice to have Dieter's great bread and rolls still available, a wonderful form of remembrance.
Again, R.I.P Dieter, we miss you.

WE passed through Udon early Feb, stopped to buy some food. I asked for Dieter, but it was fairly early morning, and he was still asleep. Yesterday on our way back from Laos, stopped in again. I saw the photoa with his B'day and a date a few weeks ago, so asked the baker. He told me Dieter sied of a "Brain Hemorrhage"(?).

We were shocked and saddened. We'd known him for at least 4 or 5 years, always a jovial host, and provider of wonderful food. We'll misss him. Far to young to go!

The restaurant is still open and busy, the food is still good. But not quite the same without him.
