My avatar is of Jack Johnson. The greatest of all-time (sorry, Ali). Google him - or better yet, watch the biography about him. He was quite amazing. Especially given the times back then. A true hero, historical figure, and his own man in every respect. A shame his notoriety has long since diminished. Perhaps you caught one of his bouts in person, OT? (soz - couldn't resist the jab. (Oh, KD scores with a pun to the mid-section! )

Actually, I've been quite busy lately and have not logged in much.

One of the things occupying us is also a very sad update to the story of the young lady in my story who lives in the States. She is 24 and was recently diagnosed with stage IV ovarian cancer. Surgery was Tuesday. We still do not know how she is doing. Neither does her husband who is away (he rarely ever contacts her - by choice - not circumstance)...

So, get a PAP smear and tell all your friends, too. Our friend felt and appeared perfectly healthy. Now she's looking at a less than 15% chance to survive even 5 more years, assuming she survived the surgery...

Above link to story of ex candidate for Arizona governor ending up homless in Ukraine after internet dating scam. Saw the stroy in The Nation yesterday.

Ironically, at top of the page in Sydney newspaper is a banner ad "Russian Love Match - join free".

I think Arizona shall be thankful that he did not become governor.

Alas, they got Janet Brewer. That heffer is definitely kookoo for Cocoa Puffs. Methinks they'd done better with him. I'm sure his immigration policies would not require ANY foreign looking or sounding person to show papers on demand. Yes, that includes those from Europe, too...

On my first ever visit to Thailand I arranged to meet someone after meeting online. Resulted in me getting the police involved. A steep learning curve but at least I passed my first WBU exam.
