What is the true conspiracy - time to register your vote.

If you have a different option than above, please elucidate below.

Remember - you should only vote for a conspiracy, not if you believe the official version of events.

With apologies for plagiarising the Norwegian Blue parrot sketch from Monty Python:
'OBL's not pinin'! 'E's passed on! This OBL is no more! He has ceased to be! 'E's expired and gone to meet 'is maker! 'E's a stiff! Bereft of life, 'e rests in peace! If you hadn't nailed 'OBL to the perch 'e'd be pushing up the daisies! 'Is metabolic processes are now 'istory! 'E's off the twig! 'E's kicked the bucket, 'e's shuffled off 'is mortal coil, run down the curtain and joined the bleedin' choir invisibile!! THIS IS AN EX-OBL!!

Nuff said.

Osama - Dead or Not?

Postby jimboLV » May 6, 2011, 8:12 pm

I am somewhat confused as to how to vote (but then again I'm easily confused).

I believe the official version, as far as it went. But I believe that it was an inside job. One of his trusted henchmen, perhaps even one of the couriers, was in the employ of the CIA, and kept them informed of his exact whereabouts. I say this for a couple of reasons. They breached the compound even with a helicopter crash, searched the entire compound and ascertained the identity of all residents, shot OBL, confiscated hundreds of pieces of data, and left, all in the space of 40 minutes. I don't believe this was possible unless they knew exactly the location of every person in there, and specifically knew that Osama was in bed banging his child bride at the moment. It is entirely possible that there is now a former high official of Al Qaeda somewhere in the world, living in luxury with his family with a new identity and several million dollars donated by the CIA, having been whisked away on those same helicopters. Also there is no way they would have mounted this operation without a guarantee of success.

The only other possible explanation is sophisticated surveillance equipment that was able to detect the location of everyone in the compound. Don't know if this is possible but I saw it on TV one time. :D

It will be a long time, decades, before we hear the real story, as sources would be compromised if the truth were outed now. So in the spirit of true conspiracy theories, just make up your own story and declare that everyone else is lying.

Hmmm. Now how do I go about setting up a website with convenient Pay pal and Visa contribution buttons?

"The only other possible explanation"

I'd say another possible explanation is that they were Seals and not your run of the mill grunts.

According to the Washington Post, Al-Qaeda has confirmed OBL's death. (http://www.washingtonpost.com/national/ ... story.html)

I'm sure it's just a continuing ploy by the administration to fool everyone into thinking that he's actually dead when, in fact, he's actually dead.

Believe me parrot, even Seals need backup and support. Which they had in this case.

You are clearly a spoiled sport, parrot. [-X

Why would you intrude into the middle of a perfectly good conspiracy thread, to give such bad news as the above (please also see http://www.abc.net.au/news/stories/2011 ... ion=justin)?

But............perhaps the plot thickens.

Has the CIA penetrated the previously impenetrable jihadist websites to perpetuate this worldwide con(spiracy)?

Please don't let this stop you registering your votes. :D

Osama - Dead or Not?

I firmly believe he is dead as a result of the raid but also believe any number of senior Pakistani government officials knew he was there and even aiding him for their own financial rewards.

It is a sad state of affairs ,when the conspiracy angle card has to be played every time there is a major event where the Gov't. is involved!

I guess, past history, polarized political views, the Worldwide web and people probably needing something else to focus on besides their own imperfections has brought us to this point.

I look at the picture of head politicians watching this action and wonder if ALL those people are conspiring to hurt the American people first and the rest of the World also.I just can't find it within myself to accept that hypothesis. Are some facts of the operation being held back, possibly and probably,IMO,because the ''War on the Terrorist'' is still in progress and there are probably many intelligence operations still in various stages of progress, not to mention our citizens and fellow countrymen in the military that are a great risk of retaliatory suicide attacks.

The fact that Pakistan has a large segment of its population that are opposed to Western objectives, leaves one to believe that prior knowledge of the raid would have been ridiculous,so why speculate about the right and wrong of it,they are supposed to be our ally against terrorists and have always known that we would go after OBL wherever he was located!
It seems to me that politics has much to do with Pakistan's announcements, and their need for financial support is probably another major factor. The fact that they possess Nuclear weapons makes it imperative that we stay close to them.So it seems a major balancing act for both gov'ts,as I see it

5 months ,at least, of examining this compound 24/7.surely in more than enough time to determine the fighting force opposition within, plan every stage of the assault including contingent problems,be in and out in 40 minutes. The fact that 2 known OBL super couriers were living there, made this a viable target, whether or not OBL was there or not!

Leadership, whether we agree politically with it or not ,is just that, leadership, not ''followship'' of the public that wants to know every detail as they think their personal interest is more important than National Security interests!

I applaud the whole operation, its outcome and the handling of OBL afterwards.I think the National interest was well served and I have no need to know anything that has not been reported!I also think the killing, instead of just capture was in our National interests!

Pretty much my sentiments on this issue NKSTAN. Although I am no fan of BHO I applaud him for giving the go ahead and I applaud the Navy Seal who pulled the trigger and everyone who had a hand in this operation. One chapter on the "War on Terror" is now closed. Hopefully a lot of the families of the victims of 9/11 can now move on.
