I went there at 1pm today but wasn't much happening because of the rain. The large tents were empty, maybe everyone decided to stay at home and wait for the rain to stop.
We went yesterday. Not a whole lot to it!The rain made it a big mudhole and over 1/2 the stalls were empty. Not much different than a regular night market except the 10 baht stuff and cheap clothes were not present,The girls were still able to buy a bunch of ''stuff'',mostly food products.
Joking aside I went to last years' event and was very impressed with how professionally it had been set up. The 'halls' had been split into different regions of Thailand with each stall showing a different OTOP product - so no repeat after repeat like most of the markets. It was interesting to see the regional variations of products & provided quite a few very different gifts for the family back in the UK.
So, I was disappointed this year, but will look again in a couple of days as long as the rain holds off.
