OTOP fair

Postby valentine » April 28, 2007, 1:30 pm

Just a reminder the annual OTOP ( One Tambon, one product) fair will be held at the Tung Sri Muang ground this year from 1st till 12th May. It is a chance to see and buy local handicrafts and other products made in villages around the whole of Thailand.

The question will be is it open on the 12th. sometimes till the 12th means closes on the 11 and sometimes it means open till the end of the 12th.

Especially for Mr Banpaeng and any others going out of town. I checked today. The Otop exhibition will be in full swing up to and including Saturday 12th. Most traders and exhibitors will be packing up on the 13th, but there may be a few stragglers still selling. 8)

I have just come back from the fair - would recommend that anyone from out of town waits a couple of days before visiting as the main halls are really still under construction & is only about a third full at the moment. Plenty of stalls around the main halls though, so worth a visit for anyone who is in town anyway.
I will probably pay another visit nearer the 12th...

Thanks for the information. Is the OTOP fair open all day or only in the evenings?

Its at the Northern end of Thung Si Maung. That's the large green area on the map.
