In the interest of accuracy, the OP refers to the UK, the Bee Gees were born in the Isle of Man which, while lying geographically at the centre of the British Isles, is not part of the UK.

From the Isle of Man Government website:
The Isle of Man is a Crown Dependency and is not, and never has been, part of the UK.

The Bee Gees are welcome to return to the Isle of Man at any time; on 10 July 2009, the Isle of Man's capital bestowed the Freedom of the Borough of Douglas honour on Barry and Robin, as well as posthumously on Maurice, thereby conveying the award of the town of their birth to all three brothers.

My humbilest apologies JimboPSM

I should have looked a little deeper, I assumed they were British as they travelled on UK passports to get to Oz.

So now, I ask why wasnt Andy , given a posthumous award, he did do some bakground lyrics, so we Ozzies were led to believe.

Andy was the youngest brother; he was born in Manchester (UK) in 1958 and was not one of the Bee Gees although at various times he did perform with them.

The Bee Gees were a trio composed of the three older brothers Barry (born 1946) and twins Robin and Maurice (born 1949).
