went last night with jonny_w, great pizza for the price, i ate the whole thing in lesss than five minutes(margaritta), i like the olive oil on the table. the owner sent out some brushetta, which we didnt order, but were more than pleased to sample and very much enjoyed. jonny_w go"s here often and i think the owner was happy he brought friends to come and enjoy. i wish there were more choices of anti-pasta(starters) selection to nibble on, before the meal. i like how the menu is only thai and english (love it or leave it itallian attitude) plus i dont htink the owner speaks too much english, fine with me.

From my single experience there, I can only suggest you make it very clear what your order is.

I sat there with my wife for some time awaiting a pizza which we had ordered, but which had been lost in translation.

We left hungry. :(

OT can't imagine Jackspratt not making something clear. However it would have been one of those fall over the back of the chair with laughter experiences for OT had he been there watching Jack wait for a Pizza that was never going to come.

OT............... \:D/

Ilio must of realized the prices were too good to be true, so the menu has changed a bit with some small price increases, still a bargain for the Udon area.

Don Pappagallo, I am sorry, the night i was in your fine establishment, I was only able to eat 5 of your pizzas. Please forgive me. I will make it up to you! Next time, I will eat 6 of your fine pizzas! May the Pappagallo name live forever!!!

Higly recommend the spinach and sausage pizza.

I know many who wish he would add "salami" or meat pepperoni pizza.

They have a nice mixed salad too, 80 baht I believe.

I like PappaGallo Pizza too. The pizzas and most of what I've tried, are quite good and at a reasonable price. The owner is very friendly and will make you feel at home. It's worth a visit.

I had a translation problem too. I tried to order pepperoni pizza, but was served pizza with red and yellow bell peppers on it instead:-( Apparently, pepperoni and bell pepper sound very similar in Italian;-) Nevertheless, it's my current favorite Italian restaurant in Udon.

I do hope they add real pepperoni pizza to their menu. Currently, Pizza Company is the only place I know to get a good pepperoni pizza.

Speaking of Italian restaurants, another one I like is called "Two Hearts" on Srisuk Road (Udon Thani Guide map E-9). I like their pasta dishes.

I asked the owner about his restaurant's location, in Udon, just north of the clock circle, on the road to Nong Khai. He said he choose it purposely.

His restaurant is on a main road, one of Udon's busiest. It's also at a stop light. When people are waiting for the light to change, they're likely to see his shop.

He said he gets a lot of customers coming down the road from Nong Khai. They see his shop on the way into town (shopping excursion) and then stop in for a meal before leaving Udon.
