Me personally, I appreciate any insight into what's being reported in the local news.....whether it's fact or fiction....if it's in the news, I'd prefer making my own judgment.
Just as with the recent westerner who died in Udon, if you only read what's in the English newspapers, you'll get the news a few days after it happened. And that news isn't always the same way it was reported initially in the local press. Whether it's deliberate or the result of further information is up to you to decide.

Pheu Thai Party Canvassing vehicle burns in Udon. The article says two explosions were heard before the vehicle went up in flames. Initial investigation (according to the article) says no evidence of explosive devices, but further investigation continues.
