Its a bit bigger than pocket size (about 8 " * 4" I guess). but I got
Speaking Thai - The fastest way to speak Thai - by Dhirapol Polsawasdi/Chanchai Boonhao from the bookshop in the Complex - 250 baht.
Best thing (for me  ) is that it has English words/phrases, then Thai script and also in English script - for an attempt at pronunciation. Only failing with it is that it doesn't tell you if the word is 'rising', 'falling' or 'constant' -
so will, for example, "egg" or "sell" just give you "khai".
But if all else fails you can always just point at the Thai script... :D

If you don't know any Thai yet, Its best to learn from a English-Thai Dictionary
This book I had when I first come to Thailand,15 years ago.I took it everywhere I went.I think a phrase book is a bit over the head to learn first stage.
I think it is still available. (ROBERTSON'S,PRACTICAL ENGLISH-THAI DICTIONARY.

Another, in addition to the two good suggestions above, is:-

The English-Thai Dicionary - Mike Simpson. Its a three way layout ie
English - Pronounciation Thai - Thai Script
Pronounciation Thai - Thai Script - English
Thai Script - Pronounciation Thai - English

Pronounciation Thai words have a different font for the different tones.
Available everywhere. and in German.

Sorry though, it's a bit bigger than pocket size.
