Pick Up Bumpers .

Thought you would like to know the BIB are starting a campaign checking the bumpers fitted to both front and rear of many pickups .They are looking for any partial concealment of registration details by the bumper, including town name . It is to coincide with the recently introduced roadside cameras, seen at many X-roads in town . They have a target to make, so at this stage don't seem interested in the proffered 200bht but issue a ticket with a fixed penalty of 2,000bht . :-"

Trubrit..

I got stopped on Ring Road over a year ago for this same thing...My argument was that this was a dealer installed bumper and if there is a problem, they should take it up with the dealer...He thanked me for my comments, took my 200 baht and sent me on my way...When I got home I adjusted my front bumper to where the city was clearly visible..
