Playful nicknames or titles under avitars

The nicknames under our avitars are very cute, but the one under mine is starting to a bit thin. Is there any way to remove the nickname altogether?

Or change "Toyota Hillux" to something a little less commercial sounding?

Or is this part of some nonintuitive ranking system?

I want to know when I am to acquire "Gerb" status

The default title is 'registered member' for everyone

Sorry I missed the earlier thread. I had initially imagined that some public relations agency hacked into this site and inserted the names of their clients.

Wish we were given a choice of titles! Mine would be Issan Airways, that fine airline with the picture of a water buffalo on the nose of every plane in the fleet, and I am willing to pay for it with 1,000 of my posts.

Something to consider perhaps, if we were given the option of choosing our own "descriptor". Of
course we would all have to do this on the honor system, not choosing obscene or offensive names
and well, basically we're fu_ked aren't we because that won't happen. Submitted for review.

Wow, that was quick, I only updated it 5 minutes ago.

Several members were not happy with their titles so I scrapped them for the time being.

I try not to miss much on here...although i don't read/post as much now-a-days so it would of been with-in 30 seconds previously....

Ohh well, suppose you got to keep the un-happy members a little 'happy' too......maybe the ones who disliked them that much have a compromise or suggestions as to what they should be....,,,no don't tell me, they shouldn't be subsituted for anything...just left 'blank'...no tag. no light-hearted name, ...all men (and women of course) are equal.....Say NO to class system...no to be seen being higher up the scale riding in better transport then the next man......No No No......Just say no...(say yes to the sizzler salad bar though, and the man from Del-monte always says yes..)

How about it chaps and chapesse's want do you want to see below your username.....I see T/Visa have something similar...anyone complain over on that forum did they about the titles they have in place....or any other forum..? or is it just Udonmap forum that receives complaints..? was it being called a flip-flop that did it..? someone don't like Mercs...? Or had a bad experiance from a Toyota dealer..? Or are you happy being called a 'Member'....lol

I think the classifications are a complete waste of space. Personally its not the amount of postings anyone makes but the quality of them.I much prefer someone who posts very little but when they do, has something significant or interesting to say over the verbosity of some who post a lot but say very little.

Waste of space...???? Ohh yeah they take up so much of it.....fills the screen up it does...
