Three prominent Thai businessmen in the billionaires list of Forbes Magazine

Charoen Sirivadhanabhakdi, Chaleo Yoovidhya and Dhanin Chearvanont are the only three Thais in the much-heralded Forbes Magazine' billionaires list, which enlists all people around the world whose net worth is US$1 billion or more.

At the age of 62, Charoen whose business ranges from property, hotels to liquor production is ranked the 264th richest, with combined networth of US$3.4 billion.

Chaleo, at 75, the owner of Red Bull energy drink, is ranked the 279th with networth of US$3.1 billion.

Dhanin and his family is ranked the 390th, with networth of US$2.4 billion.

I found the answer in the Bangkok Post:

"Those expecting to find deposed prime minister Thaksin Shinawatra on the list, given his family's gains of $1.9 billion from their sale of Shin Corp last year, need to bear in mind that much of the money is in the hands of his children. Mr Thaksin last appeared on the Forbes list in 2002 with a net worth of $1.2 billion."
