Hi aznyron,

Ronnie, the only other firing system we have is Charcoal.
The gas is quick starting, clean burning, and easily regulated for both BBQing, and Oven cooking.

The big SS Master Deluxe which has the volume within the insulated top makes for a great Oven, is a bit pricey for many, but it certainly is an Oven, as much as it is a Barbecue.
Seen in person they blow guys away with their beauty and quality workmanship.

We also apply heavy duty Oven Thermometers set in stainless housings into the tops for those that really would like to do some serious Baking and roasting.
It certainly makes sense to have a Thermometer, if you have an Oven.

I know you've been looking forward to getting a nice Oven someday, so going this way will give you much more versatility, and surely cost less having the combo in one unit. Might as well enjoy life, brother.

Also, what's neat about having an Oven/BBQ combo is when your meat is cooked just the way you like it all nice and tender with the top closed, you can open the top, place the meat on the BBQ grate, apply your favorite BBQ Sauce, if desired, and put the finishing BBQ touch on the meat, all in one session.
Hey, man, I'm getting hungry just thinking about fall off the bone BBQ'd meat.
By the way, we're coming out with a new line of delicious Quik-Fire BBQ Sauce sometime in the near future. Original, Smoky, and Hot. Maybe I'll put your picture on the label...

Even with the tough meat you get around here, simply putting your favorite seasonings on it, a little water in the pan, cover it with Aluminum foil and letting it stay in your BBQ Oven long enough, the meat automatically gets super tender, and tasty.

Ok, the price for an SS Master Deluxe, is; 24,995. Applied Thermometer; 1,500. 26,495, total.

You've seen our feedbacks, you wouldn't be disappointed, I wouldn't let that happen, anyway...

Anyway, thanks for posting, you're aways welcome to give me a call...087 863 8651

Take care, Ron,

Another pleased customer in Phuket sending us pictures of his newly built and beautiful Granite counter made specifically to mount his new, SS Crown Deluxe. Wouldn't we all love to have a Barbecue counter like Bobs.
Thanks for the pics and note, Bob, much appreciated.

Finally completed the BBQ pit and here are 2 photo's [as promised] of it in situ.
Hope all is well with you
Cheers
Bob

More pleasant feedbacks from two very nice customers.

Hello Doc,

We bought the BBQ from you today.
Just to say that I have never used Gas before. My Wife's family were
here and we had Whole Fish, Squid, Sausages and Chicken. Everything
was cooked perfect.

Thanks. John and Kai.

Another very pleased customer relating thoughts regarding his recently received, Quik-fire 'SS Deluxe', Barbecue.
Thanks allot, Andrew, we work hard to do it right...

Doc,

I am happy to inform you that I now have the coolest barbecue in the Mooban.
After some back and forth with the post office regarding whether or not I
needed to be there for it, my maid managed to get them to release the barbecue
to her last week. After wrangling a pickup truck owner from the local market
to deliver it, it sat in my carport for a few days, tempting me, until I had a
chance to unwrap it and do the "break in" myself.

Both my wife and my maid thought it was too beautiful to use. But I finally
got a chance to try in at supper last night, and what a beauty! I love the
strategically-placed "peepholes" on the sides that allow a look at the flame
tubes -- simple and effective. I used it for a couple of small steaks last
night, and I learned pretty quickly -- it gets hot in a hurry, so I need to
monitor closely. I think I'll try some sausages tonight.

As for the quality of construction, I have to tell you that I'm really
impressed. Let me share a little story. Yesterday afternoon, I was at a
fancy supermarket in Chiang Mai that had several gas barbecues for sale. They
were the same, flimsy-looking ones that I had seen on other websites catering
to farangs (no names, but you know the sites I mean). When I had the
chance to lay hands on them and give them a good shake, they shuddered and
twisted like an outhouse in a tornado. For one, the asking price was B30,000!
I was reminded of the cheap, made-in-China ones I saw at Home Depot in the
U.S. In February (retailing for about $200). I turned my nose up at those,
and, when I saw the same kind in Chiang Mai yesterday, I could only chuckle,
knowing what I had at home.

Correct me if I'm wrong about this, but there are a couple of features of the
grill that don't get mentioned on the website and should be.

1. The wood handle for the hood that rotates in its mount. The wood stays
cool, and, because it rotates, it's easier to open the hood. That's a quality
touch, and the combination of the wood handle and stainless steel construction
is kind of nautical-seeming, like it should be aboard ship.

2. The push handle that juts out slightly from the shelf side of the barbecue
and the high-quality casters are very nice. I've had several barbecues with
wheels, but none of them were very easy to move. In those cases, there were
no good handles to use and the shelves were usually very flexible plastic;
also, the plastic casters were terrible on outdoor surfaces and easily broke.
Your machine, however, I can (and do) wheel quite easily from the covered
carport to the open patio. It reminds me a bit of those medical-equipment
carts you see in doctor's offices.

3. I would add one very pleasant surprise about it. It's not as big as I
expected it to be. I don't mean the cooking surface (which is more than
adequate for my purposes), but the overall dimensions. Though I'm using mine
outside in a fairly open space, I could see how it would fit in a confined
patio or courtyard, or even on an open balcony.

Hope that you're having a good weekend there in Isaan. Mine here is a lot
better now that I've got a good barbecue to use.

Best,
Andrew

Quik-Fire's – “SS Lad”

Quik-Fire’s Newest Stainless Barbecue.
Desiring a less expensive, but quality stainless barbecue?

If so, Quik-Fire’s, new; “SS LAD”, is certainly worth your serious consideration.

The SS LAD is a High Performance, down sized Gas Barbecue.
You’ll not find an imported barbecue that will rival the quality of the SS Lad, in this price range.

For starters; the SS Lad is welded not bolted, with each unit being individually hand crafted to American quality Standards.
The SS Lad comes to you in one piece ready to fire, not unassembled in a cardboard.

With your new, Quik-Fire SS LAD, simply hook up the gas, spark your fire, and after a short sealing interim, you’re barbecuing.
All newly received Quik-Fire gas barbecues work the same. Could it be easier, or more convenient, we don’t think so.

The SS LAD will cook plenty of food on it’s 17x13 inch stainless grate.
The top was made extra tall for roasting or baking your favorites.
The firing area is configured in such a way Pumice Stones are not required to disperse heat.
Heavy stainless steel angle irons placed over the firing tubes disperse the heat, and they are easily removed for periodic cleaning.

Our recent and first SS LAD customer says; “it works perfect”.
We expected no less, our Quik-Fire team pre-tests all Barbecues before they qualify for market.
We found the SS Lad to be an exceptional performer.

The SS Lad sells for 13,500, plus, 400 for Regulator/hose set tested with Barbecue, to assure safe and correct firing.

Quik-Fire will soon be uploading a new Website. For a short time, Udonmap is the only place the SS Lad can be viewed, unless you’d care to see it in person.
In this case, give Doc a call: 087 863 8651

Quik-Fire's, SS Portable Gas Barbecue, latest in our line of fine stainless Products.

The QUIK-FIRE, SS Portable Gas Barbecue, is a 100% stainless, high performance counter top barbecue, with side burner, made for small areas.

Smaller and Less expensive, yes, but no less in quality than any one of our hand crafted line of QUIK-FIRE Barbecues.

For the man that has everything; the QUIK-FIRE SS Portable is the perfect solution for the small satellite barbecue next to the kitchen door for that quick barbecued steak, or hotdogs for the kids?

For the gentleman living on a smaller budget or, the man with a very small balcony, the QUIK-FIRE SS Portable is your cost effective Barbecue solution.

Take your QUIK-FIRE SS Portable to the farm, or, on a family outing.

With the Side Burner, boil a pot of hot water for that needed cup of Tea, or instant Coffee, or, heat up some beans while barbecuing a bite to eat.

The QUIK-FIRE, SS Portable, is also the perfect family gift that keeps on giving.
Present one to your wife’s elderly Mama to get her out of the dirt using the old style Charcoal Pot.
The old folks will love ya for it.

Sawitta and I recently gave an QUIK-FIRE SS Portable to her Mama. After grubbing around in the dirt for 65 years with the old style barbecue pot, she was absolutely thrilled to death with her new SS Portable gas barbecue.

Now old Mama has been enabled to barbecue and boil her rice with a flick of a switch.
Never again needing to worry where to find and pay for her wood, or charcoal, or even store it.
Smiles all around…

Need a sturdy stainless table to mount your, QUIK-FIRE SS Portable? QUIK-FIRE has those as an option for you, as well.

Hi Nobi,

Thanks for the compliment. We made a couple more modifications which really trick out SS Portable and optional table combination. We have a black Naugahyde cover to go with now, and are fabricating an optional Griddle to go with, as well.

For those that may be interested, Friday July 31 between 11:00am, and 1:00pm, we'll be a Nobi's doing a new website photo shoot of the new, SS LAD model, and our very latest, SS Portable, gas Barbecues.

Promotional prices for the SS Lad, and SS Portable will be available for the two hours or so we are at Nobi's conducting the first public showing and photo shoot, after that, onto the website at regular price.

Come on down and get your picture taken with Sawitta, Nobi, and Ging, along with some of the others that may care to show up. Of course, the picture will go in our new website
We'd be pleased to have you attend.

That's about it for now, Nobi, see you on Friday.

Our best,
Doc & Sawitta

Build a BBQ for nothing!

Postby Thaitanium » July 31, 2009, 1:01 am

Stainless sheets 3mm thick, 4 feet x 8 feet only cost 6000 Baht from Bangkok distribution factories stamped in flat sheets, and 400 baht a meeter in 32 mm tubing, x 1.8 mm, x 1 meter L., and labor @ 150 a day per person, requiring 3 people to finish 1 unit, including acid dip, welding and final packaging prep.

What a joke :crying:

I recently got a Australian BBQ, Model is Gordon Bleu 4 burner, it replaces my 4 Burner coleman which did good duty but like me, past its prime.
I got this BBQ given to me by and expat returning to cold and miserable Blighty.
To say I am disappointed with me new acquisition is an understatement, the same model can be purchased in OZ for about 700 AUD, where it probably represents good value, here it cost the guy who brought it around 50K Bt, so I'm told.
Its mainly painted sheet metal construction with a few SS panels on the exterior. The hood is single Steel folded panel and Stove enameled. No insulation. The grates and plates and burners are cast Iron.
Its a right beetch to clean,as most BBQ's are, many nooks and crannies, there are several design flaws won't go into them in details but I spent a but of time doing some mods to facilitate cleaning.
But a couple of examples, the Rotisserie rod has bent, why? I can only imagine that the owner stooped it rotating while it was hot. The most serious is that when I first started it up and plugged the rotisserie I touched the BBQ frame and it knocked me back 1 mtr because the whole BBQ was alive when the Rotisserie unit leaked power. I cleaned of the motor and tested it before I used it again
I have to say I certainly wouldn't purchase one for half the price.

Haven't used one of Docs but have had a good look and 1st impression is they look good value and seem to be designed with functionality in mind.

Hi Doc,

You can put this on your website if you like.

"An absolutely fantastic BBQ - thanks Doc. It has a very robust and well made feel to it as well as being uniquely stylish.
Dealing with Doc has been entertaining as well as extremely efficient. It was shipped when he said it would be and even arrived when he said it would.
Thanks again Doc."

I mean it all. Thanks for all your help Doc and good luck. I will certainly recommend you to anyone who is thinking of getting a BBQ.

All the best to you and the other half.

in that case, then Doc's are even a better bargain. and the important part, they stand the 'TEST OF TIME', mine is going strong, about 5 yrs, give or take, and gets quite a work out. at the time, i thought a bit high end, as all things are so cheap in usa, but has turned out to be one of the best values of anything i purchased in thailand. thanks for being there, and continued success. =D> =D> =D> =D>

Hi Doc,

Just a quick line to thank you and all of your staff for their service, the BBQ
is absolutely the best.

We tried it out last week for an all day family BBQ and
it was just great. I decided to do a deep fried Catfish dish using the side
burner...that thing is like a jet engine! brilliant for deep frying or Thai wok
dishes. The girls decided to use the square half griddle to do some Japanese
veggies and teriyaki chicken which were excellent. We all had a great day and in
true tradition of BBQing...drank loads of beer!!

What can I say Doc, the stainless steel workmanship is perfect, it will last
forever.

All the best

Here are a couple more, feedbacks/testimonials, for those that may be interested...

1st, is a question asked of our previous customer, Bob Manthey, in Bangkok, by a potential customer
in, Pattaya.
Of his own free will Bob has posted positive comments on numerous forums, and was good enough
forwarded this to us.

[QUOTE]

Hey Bob! I have been in touch with Doc at QUIK-FIRE.
I am pretty serious about getting a BBQ from him.
Can I ask if you are still happy with your unit?
Seems so from your recent comments...but I wanted to check
just to make sure.
I appreciate your help!!!! Craig - Pattaya

Response from customer Bob M. - Buriram

[QUOTE]

Absolutely 100% happy. Doc is on the ball, stays in touch.
I thought I had a bad starter after 2 years, he without a run around, immediately mailed me 2 replacement starters at no cost, but I then looked at his instructions and recalled what he said on the phone about a spider, I had the maid clean it and sure enough it was a spider web and the original worked fine and still works fine.

I am a person who shopped at Costco in America, subscribed for 30 years to Consumer Reports Magazine and for 8 years to consumer reports on line, so buying a high grade item with excellent warranty or "after the sales service" and VALUE for the money spent, is #1.

Doc makes in Thailand a quality product. There is a VERY short of list of vendors I would 100% recommend.

***********************

This testimonial is being posted here a bit later than it was originally posted in Thaivisa, but here it is...

Here is an action shot of one of Doc's gas barbecues. We used it at the Loy Krathong festival last night. It cooked for over 6 hours straight on full blast without blinking.
We sold almost 8,000 baht of sausage and bbq sticks, thanks Doc.
Now if only you could make it self cleaning.
