Cat needs a home

Postby BKKSTAN » July 4, 2009, 4:40 am

My neighbor has left the country, leaving behind her female cat which we have adopted because she was going to have it put to sleep.

She is less than a year old. We've had her for 3 weeks, she sleeps and eats in the house w/o making any messes, letting us know when she wants to go out or in ,so we don't need or use a litter box !

She is not aggressive with our little dog, just lays down, belly up, in front of her when Lita rushes up to her!

If anyone is interested in her,let me know!

Also ,as a side question, does anyone know if pet stores board cats?We are planning a trip to Bangkok and can't take the cat with us!

She was moving away and wanted eliminate the problem out of her life...!!!! .. sorry if that sounds harsh(and is not a topic) but reading that has shocked me a little that someone could do that, maybe thats a common thing i don't know, but i have never come across that one before, if it was ill (terminal) i could understand.

Good for you for taking it in, exactly what any decent person would do, hope the cat finds a good home, sure there is someone out there.

Would consider it but we already have two old cats and two dogs. Bringing in another young cat wouldn't be a good idea for us, especially since the dogs are a pit bull and a Thai ridgeback. They probably wouldn't react well now to a strange cat on the premises.

There is a vet (tel. 042-222467) across from Romyen estate on the ring road who boards animals in cages. Did leave one of our dogs with them when we had to go to Bangkok and it was fine. Claim they took the dog outside to exercise a few times a day.

Good thing about cats is that, if litter-box trained, you can usually leave them alone for 2 or 3 days with no problems.
