hey wazza, that's the reason i don't hike/trek/exercise....way too dangerous, ok, i'm just a lazy sh*t :D

hey Ter, good luck and have a good one, be careful out there. always a good heads up for eveyone, early detection is the key. sorry to hear you and so many have to worry, including myself. though most cancers in my family were a tad self induced, throat and liver/heavy smokers and alcoholics. though a new one, brother, squeaky clean, good diet/exercise/no abusive vises, butt cancer, so now something actually in family, lucky me, had a colonscope way back when, 10 yrs ago, now a barium every other year, full abdomen ultrasound every year. so spend my medical money on preventive scans, instead of after diagnosis. any insurance that offers yearly check ups is way too expensive, i'm way a head on that financial curve after 10 yrs. that pancreatic cancer is scary, hard to detect and not a good one to have, as a friend of mine in states is going threw that now, and not positive.

excellent effort and good cause. =D> =D>

Now back home showered and starving might even have a pub sunday lunch today. Today life is good and on the first rung of getting fit. :D

Have MacMillan given you a training schedule to follow, Ter, or have you drawn one up yourself?

Yes Steve, they have quite comprehensive too, from stretching first to a week by week build up all the way through to feb. I started asap as I have been fit in the past but the last few years in my role as a recidivist has taken it's toll. :D

Thanks guys for the PMs and support, just a few lines to let you know how things are going. Sommerfield in Camden has allowed me to put a collection box and do some rattling outside there store and also a few local shops have sponsored me too. Camden journal will be doing a piece about my fund raising which I am sure will help my page, so as you can see I have been busy. The training is going well Steve and Wazza and I am ahead of schedule, wazza got a question about a sleeping bag, should it be three season/climate ?
Big thanks to Lee for his support and Banpaeng also.

looks like a worthy charity, as i used to donate to ronald mcdonald house in memphis, a support group for St. Judes hospital, with an cancer unit especially for children, providing the same support as your charity seems to do. families can stay at RMH, to be close to their children while treatment, or worst happens, providing family support and housing if out of towners. St Judes, set up with the assistance of Danny Thomas, yank actor/celebrity, policy was, if you can pay, fine, if not, that's fine also, same with RMH, pay or not, you are welcome. a very worthy cause and effort so family can be close and support their children in the worst scenario i can imagine. hat off to all those involved with such endeavors, and to yourself for bringing light to your effort and an opportunity for other to chip in what ever, large or small. don't need deep pockets to help, it all addes up, and if uk resident, i like the extra the gov't kicks in, and extra 25 percent. tried accidently hitting the wrong button,  but wanted address, which i couldn't adjust, as payment wouldn't be approve, i tried though.

god bless.
