What is going on in Udon around July 16-26

Hello,

I am trying to book a small group, eight rooms, in Udon from July 16-26. Both the Charoen and Charonsri Grand Hotels seem to be full during this period. Does anyone know what is happening in town, and if there is a chance that there will be cancelations. Currently, it seems like we wlll have to stay at the Napoli hotel -- seems like an ok hotel, but not in as good a location.

Any information would be appreciated.

You could try the Karin Hotel, Wattana Nuwong Road, map ref N10. It has many rooms, some at 400 baht others at 600 baht, though no pool.
