Shipping container modification, heavy duty trailer

Hi, apology this is a repost from general topic, but I feel there are many many good knowledgable people here, after all we all need a house to live in this can be a mobile home

Hi, I am not sure if anyone can help me! I am looking for a heavy industry welding metal company in Udon. What I need is to have a 20ft shipping container modified to house mobile workshop with total weight of 10-15 tons. I also need a custom built trailer, with rollers for easy roll off and on with winches of the container from ground level.

sorry i can't help with your question but i am curious....are you planning on living in a 20foot container?

If so, what level of finish would it have - i.e a/c, plumbing, windows. etc. etc??
I often wondered why you don't see any large static caravans in LOS. Could be a good solution for those who worry about the land issues with house ownership.

I can turn you on to the man who has the super quality trailer factory around here, he can craft about any style trailer you want,
been in biz many years, a real pro from Austria, and honest.

Don't know about converting the container, but maybe, as mentioned, he's a real pro.

I knew a guy in the states years ago that had a 20 foot container that was converted to a drivable rig.
One end was converted to something like a truck, or bus.
Powered by a big diesel motor, it had a bus/truck seat for the driver, big windshields, dashboard, stereo, the works. Really cool...
It was called a," Wolfgang". I believe that was the name of the company that made it.
My buddies, and whatever women we could reel in, had allot of fun runnin' around partyin' in that contraption.
This was back in the early 70's, so the fun, was real fun...

Anyway, you can PM me if you'd care too, many guys around Udon know this trailer manufacture fella, they'll all confirm what I've related too.

It sounds like Mr qon is looking to set up a mobil shop with living space that he can take to a jobsite. If the job take more than a day then, he'll have a place to stay rather than get a hotel or live out of a car. When the job is complete, he just loads the can back on the trailer lock, stock and barrel and off to the next job. A lowboy with a winch would work. The deck is only about 3 feet off the ground. Everything inside would have to be pretty well tied down as loading and unloading would tip it at about 15 to 20 degrees.

Sawatdee, no living in it was a joke to fit the forum heading. Although the job is for real, as a mobile workshop, the design is to avoid expensive crane cost to load and unload a container off a truck. Living wise, the crew accommodation is provided by the site manager if it is so remote.
