Derby v Birmingham......1-1
Reading v West Brom.....2-1

Well no real shock exits -as yet!! :D :D
Still plenty of chances of one though, with plenty of games to be replayed.
Draw for next round.

Chelsea v Manchester City or Stoke City
Fulham v Bolton Wanderers or Tottenham Hotspur
Reading or West Brom v Crystal Palace or Aston Villa
Portsmouth v Birmingham City

Stoke must be gutted that after giving themselves every chance of going through Chelsea away would be the result!! :(
Portsmouth are handed a great chance of getting through to the semis which will just about complete a very strange season for them..

Well, I can hardly be smug with a replay to come, when some of your scores may well come true, but would have thought a 'well done Palace' might be warranted after almost all of you thought they'd get stuffed. I thought it was a great, classic tie. An excellent performance by Palace and some very impressive individual displays. Ambrose's goal - superb effort. Difficult not to think great entertainment and if I could have asked for more, it would, of course, have been for the ref to blow for time just those few minutes early. Alas, not to be. Heartwarming stuff from a team and Club with their backs to the wall?

So, this time anyway, poo to you.

Mark Lawrenson 0-2
Galee 0-2
Beer Monkey 1-3
Zidane 1-1
Bob Helm 1-2
Statto 0-5!

Thanks for printing Lawro's predictions ..... at least someone did worse than me !
Can't understand how you all missed the correct score in the Chelski game .... it was easy. Newcastle beat Cardiff 5 - 1 last week so chelski (being NEARLY as good as the mags) will win 4 - 1 :-"
Congrats Zid, you get to ewar the smug grin for a while =D> =D> =D>

Thanks for that Statto.
Congratulations to Zidane....
I believe that the predictions & spreadsheet should be sent to the beeb with a note saying that the Statto prediction team are quite willing to provide a more reliable service to them for three quarters of the pay that Lawro gets.
I don't know how much he is paid but I reckon even three quarters split between the 5 of us will pay for my beer for the month!! :D :D
Yes brian, congrats to Palace. Bit harder at Villa Park to get a result now I think, but not impossible. Great chance in the next round if you could edge past them...
p.s. I see Newcastle did not fare so well against the Swans as they did against Cardiff.. :D :D

Thanks for your kind words, gents. After a couple of dodgy prediction rounds I guess class is beginning to tell 8)
Funnily enough I had a good week for the previous Premiership "I Know The Score" getting 4 correct scores.....makes up for a few weeks before when I only got 1 result out of 10 correct.
Eat your heart out,Lawro !! \:D/

Aston Villa 3-1 Crystal Palace
Stoke 3-1 Man City (After Extra Time)
Tottenham 4-0 Bolton
West Brom 2-3 Reading (After Extra Time)

Villa predictably beat Palace, who can now put their concentration where it is needed.
Fantastic result for Stoke, the fans will be delighted - although the next round gets even tougher!!
Spurs did what they should have done in the first leg & beat Bolton. Bolton really have more pressing issues than the cup. Harry will be delighted with any silverware this year, finishing 4th. in the League would confirm him as Manager for as long as he likes, the Cup probably would as well!! :D
Reading just grind on & on in the cup. They hardly like to make it easy for themselves. :D
