You probably do not need to do much bumper.
Most of the e-mail providers scan e-mails before they send them now & will kill or refuse to send ones with viruses in.
Next you undoubtedly have a virus killer running when you opened the mail, if anything was suspect you should have been warned then.
If you want to make very sure you are not going to get problems...
Open your anti virus protection.
Check that you are running the latest version - most have an obvious "Check for latest update" button lurking somewhere.
Get the anti-virus software to do a full scan of your computer.
That can take a while if you have a lot of hard disk space used.
