Policeman shoots ladyboy and kills two teenage girls

A police patrol officer from Kudjab district Udon Thani has accepted resignation after killing two teenagers and wounding a ladyboy that were part of a drug dealing gang.

The police officer was aware that his son was involved with a drug gang, in which a ladyboy by the name of Tik was the leader.
The police officer said Tik had built a small hut at a farm where the gang could meet and distribute drugs. The day of the incident the officer said his son wasn't at home so he went looking for him at the hut, there he found Tik and two 19 year old girls using drugs but no sign of his son. The officer asked them if they knew where his son was but the group wouldn't say anything. The officer wanted to arrest them but the gang said he must show an arrest warrant/subpoena to do that. In a rage of anger he shot the two girls in the head killing them instantly and seriously wounded Tik.

After the incident the police officer surrendered himself and accepted his resignation.

I agree the police should be resigned and go to jail.
But I'm also relieved these scum are no longer plying their drug trade and ruining lives.

During the big drug war in 1998, I was surprised at the lack of open criticism of the government's tactics. I happened to be at the small village restaurant at 7pm on 22 June 1998. While awaiting my order, a man walked up to the cook and shot him nearly point blank. The man's wife and two kids were in the same room. My wife was waiting for me in the truck.......I lept out of my sandals, into the truck (I lost my bearings and tried to get in on the American-driver's side), then sped off to the village police station down the road to report the incident. The resident cop was not interested. I reported the incident to a military officer in the village. He was not interested. I later found out that the concensus of the villagers was that the cook was dealing drugs as a side business ('some speed with that cowpot,sir?') and got what he deserved.
The same night, two other drug dealers were gunned down in Udon near the university.

t.i.t., we can cringe all we want at Thai justice, but nothing will change unless the general population protests. That doesn't appear to be likely (at least concerning drug dealers).
