Power to you! (rain again and still no power cuts!)

As I type this, we're having the 10th or 15th massive downpour of the season in Nong Khai.
It's on time and in season ... and most amazingly, we haven't had a single rain-induced power outage this year.
What's going on? I'm starting to get used to regular, uninterrupted electricity. This ain't half bad at all.... Almost forgot what it was like.

Tex,Which part of Nong Khai do YOU live in, I've been back for about 2 Months now, And it's only poured down here TWICE in that time......But we've had power cuts in that time WITHOUT it raining ....
