Rather than get into the politics of it, I was rather amused that he laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Indian independence leader and non-violence hero, Mahatma Gandhi. Here he & his wife were pictured receiving a gift of a fabric printed with Mahatma Gandhi's "Seven Social Sins".
For anybody (like me :D ) that didn't know that these existed, or what they were, here they are..

I have a feeling that he probably stopped reading after number 1... :D :D

There is no morality where oil/energy is concerned.

Burma has it - India (China) wants it.

It is hard to condemn India (or any other developing country) when you look at the records of the "rich" countries.

Mind you, it always brings a smile to my face when I see the outrage in India about racism. :D

Me too, I remember a few years ago when an Indian Dignitary left Australia after NOT getting his own way, stated that at least India didn't have to rely on the protection of the USA :D God knows what he meant by that  I suppose when you have a Billion People, most of whom are starving you really don't care about a Govt who suppresses it's populous 8) isn't life grand ;)
