Burma's Than Shwe visits India

This is a 5 day visit that many have condemed.

Rather than get into the politics of it, I was rather amused that he laid a wreath at the mausoleum of Indian independence leader and non-violence hero, Mahatma Gandhi. Here he & his wife were pictured receiving a gift of a fabric printed with Mahatma Gandhi's "Seven Social Sins".
For anybody (like me ) that didn't know that these existed, or what they were, here they are..

Politics without principles

Me too, I remember a few years ago when an Indian Dignitary left Australia after NOT getting his own way, stated that at least India didn't have to rely on the protection of the USA God knows what he meant by that I suppose when you have a Billion People, most of whom are starving you really don't care about a Govt who suppresses it's populous isn't life grand
