sritrakarn hotel

has anyone stayed at this hotel before?
what are your thoughts about it, likes or dislikes. would you stay there again or avoid it like the plague.
any info is appreciated as i am waying up my options for my annual stay in udon.
ideally i would like to stay in top mansion, but i realise in december this may well be full so just looking for other options.

Sorry changnoi66 I don't know the sritrakarn hotel at all & have never stayed at it.
However you don't seem to be getting much of a response & you mention that you have previously stayed in The Top Mansion. If you were happy at the Mansion then RuySuk may well be worth a try.
About the same rate (but negotiable

) possibly slightly larger rooms - but I would recommend the original building rather than the new block, as SOME of those rooms do not have windows.
Joe, the owner, speaks excellent English & they have free wi-fi as well.
About a 10 minute walk (safe & slow

) to The Top Mansion, but there are places to eat a stone throw away - including The Book Shop & Chern Chim.

the sritrakarn is opposite the bus station.
i have looked at the ruysuk and think it looks good so that is another option for me to consider.
think i might get the mrs to go round and check a few places out.
