Oops, looks like the other posts were deleted. They must have been off topic. Errrrrrrr, good luck to Mojo's on their re-scheduled St. Patrick's Day.

there was no party and no free drinks and no discounted drinks - i don't know
where you got your information from AZNRON - but it was complete B/S. i did go with
company as you suggested to have "fun" only to be disappointed, if the american
air force guy's had not popped in for one quick round of shooters and another small group
then the bar would have been empty. it turned out a complete waste of a night out -
what a let down.

I visited Mojo's last Sunday at 2 pm. Because there was an ad for it on the Udon Thani map that said "Roast Buffet, Sundays, 12 noon - 4 pm, 190 baht".

When I entered, I saw only three tables for dining, which were at the front and two tables were occupied by men who were not eating. A couple of guys were shooting pool.

The sign out front said carvery on Sunday, without stating the hours or price.

I checked out the serving table in the rear. There was a Thai guy with a chef hat on, who apparently would ration out the meat. As I best recall, there were three hunks of meat and a couple of small roasted chickens, a tray of a few vegetables, and a tray of a few roasted potatoes.

I have never eaten a carvery.

Is a carvery an all-you-can-eat-buffet, or are you limited to whatever is piled on one plate?

Are you limited to one entree?

Does Mojo's refill its vegetable and potato trays or not? I know of a few all-you-can-eat weekly meals in other countries, where you have to be there at the start time or earlier because after the tray is emptied there is no more.

Since Mojo's look more like a pool hall and bar, I decided that eating at that time was not encouraged.

I returned about 6 pm that same Sunday to see if Mojo's offered fish and chips for dinner, but it was closed. I ate at Steve's and fish and chips were ok.

Thanks in advance.

With regard to the carvery served at Mojo's on a sunday, No it is not an all you can eat affair, although I believe that most people would be extremely satisfied with the portions.

Yes Mojo's is known for its pool but most expats also know it serves high quality food cooked by very competent chefs. Granted there are limited tables however the outside area and the long bar with barstools more than make up for that.

For me if I want to have a decent western meal in Udon Thani there are only 2 venues - Mojo's and the Irish Clock.

Mojos have their own pool comp on Wednesday and Saturday evenings for men and did have a Sunday afternoon comp for women. Not sure if the ladies comp is still going.

[quote="ISSAN_NISSAN"]I visit Mojo's a couple times a month, but what I have noticed lately is some lonely old soul will compensate the waitress for playing pool with him and as a result the service lacks.

I don't blame the girls and I don't blame the lonely old souls looking for someone to talk to.

I'm just saying.....

was in there this week ,
two farangs , sitting alone , playing with their laptops , :(
and beautiful ladies sitting at the bar ,
what a sad on line life .
