Brothers Nightclub

Anyone heard the same.

Centara paid the owners of Brothers Nightclub to close down because the Centara wants the land to expand the shopping complex in Udon Thani.

Might be a load of bullshite.

I heard the same from one of the residents in the area. There are also plans to build a small bridge to link Sampantamit Road with Central shopping area. Good news for Irish Clock, Top Mansion etc.

A proper parking area would be good. Especially to accommodate the amount of visitors at weekends.

Well whatever happened they haven't hung around it was a pile of rubble when I last passed it

I'm sure that the plan is to expand Central Shopping Centre, but don't hold your breath waiting for it to happen. Its over two years since the Soi Farang bars were demolished. By the way, the road between Central and Brothers Club isn't a public road - it is a private road, presumably owned by Central.

Don't know about that bridge, this one might be in the works in the near future.

Passed the place at the start of the week. Watching the guys pulling down stuff, there was certainly evidence of a fire having taken place. Whether this occurred when the place was still open, I don't know, but might have been a factor in its' closure.

Lots of money up in smoke in that place......completely remodeled at least twice since the Volvo dealer moved out...and that's all of a handful of years ago. Must be someone with deeeep pockets.

I was in there the other night, dancing and singing and having a great time.
I noticed a small fire near a spinning light ball mounted on the ceiling.
I said, "The roof, the roof, the roof is on fire!"

You wouldn't believe their response.

Just an update on developments around this area .There was a meeting tonight organised by the Centra group for prospective tenants of the new store to be built on the old farang alley land .It was revealed that the remaining two years of the Brothers Club lease had been repurchased to enable the development to start without further delay. So it looks pretty imminent .They certainly aren't wasting any time in clearing the site . On another topic it was suggested that a bridge may be built to provide access to the cattle shed . Now although this wasn't discussed it would appear to be unlikely as Central own all the land right up to the stream which borders both properties. Now I can' see any advantage to them in constructing such a connection , besides which it would appear to contravene the council zoning order which dictates the land for retail use only .So I don't think so .On a related development UD.Center . Planning permission has now been granted for construction of a hotel and retail accommodation on the land that comprises 'Tent City' So existing tenants are being advised that their existing lease which expires in 2 years will not be renewed .Big changes ahead folks .
