Just on a sidenote about AA,3 weeks ago when leaving Udon airport to Bangkok on a different carrier,I notice AA have a size and strict weight enforcement for on board luggage.Has anyone recently flown AA confirm that all on board luggage is tested before boarding whether it be to Bangkok or Phuket?
Thai have one of these but have never seen them ask a passenger about his/her onboard luggage.

In all the times I have flown with AA I have never seen this enforced. I know they now say there is strictly a one bag policy etc, but people still get on with more than one bag and are allowed to.

The only airline I have ever seen enforcing this, and it's only occasionally, is Tiger when flying from Singapore. They herd you through a checkpoint where your bag may be checked for weight and size.

Like always, I travel within weight and size limits. I know the rules so there's not much point breaking them and then trying to plead your way out.

Same same here with AA - never had my carry-on checked in Udon, and I usually carry a sports bag plus laptop. However they do weight check-in baggage.

AA is my preferred carrier (because of their fares, of course :D ).
I fly with them a few times a year. They have never checked my carry-on luggage.
I last few AA in June (Bangkok).

I have just received an SMS from AA, confirming the cancellation of my morning flight in mid-September.

Fortunately the message has been received in time for me to change the booking (at no charge) to the previous evening, therefore ensuring I can meet my connecting overseas flight the next morning.

If you have a morning booking in September it may be a good idea to check now on the status.

All homos are illegal in Uganda and get the death penalty or life in prison if they are convicted of being a homo, which is very fair if you ask OT.

At least they gave you a bit of notice. I got a three hour delay with them once which doesn't qualify for refund or change, and another time when i got a SMS telling me my flight was cancelled I can't remember what happened. I have used ACA a few times when they were the only people flying to UTH from swampy, however I would rather be a convicted homo in Kampala than use ACA again.

It's nice to see you have such an enlightened view on the world.

Now assuming you would rather be a convicted homo in Uganda and suffer either death or life in prison, rather than take an AA flight, which I think is what you are saying, does that also include you engaging in homosexual acts as both giver and taker?

pete you have attributed words to me which actually come from O/Ts keyboard.

I would appreciate it if you could get the mods to make appropriate corrections.

OT just done a double back flip off his chair with laughter - there are no WFB's on aircrapasia. There are a load of blokes wearing make up and asking if you would like to dump your luggage or pay 3500 baht in excess hand luggage, and then on board, if ever, ask you if you want to buy a aircrapasia balloon together with a cup of luke warm nescafe for a further 3500 baht.

OT......... \:D/

I have to disagree with you there.I flew from Stansted to Kuala Lumpur with Air Asia and there were some very attractive air hostesses and all of them were 100% female I can assure you. There was just one male flight attendant all the rest were girls.

Fair enough, the intention was always to quote OT, the Kampala camp, not you, so sorry for any inconvenience.
