Postby BKKSTAN » August 20, 2009, 8:30 am

Twice this morning,I received these notices, although on retries ,the notices vanished!

First time was on UdonMap forum and the second was on the Bangkok Post!

I got it with Yahoo Sports. "Sorry, the website you are accessing has been closed by Thai Royal Police due to inappropriateness such as pornography, gambling or information which is deemed to violate national security." George Orwell would be proud.

Maybe it has something to do with a recent topic posted on Thailand news. :-k

The message popped up when doing a Google search so it appears to be random at the moment. Maybe it's in test mode at the moment. :?

Sorry, the web site you are accessing has been closed by Royal Thai Police due to inappropriateness such as pornography, gambling or contain any information which is deemed to violate national security.

If you open the Royal Thai Police website, and have good virus software it will warn you before opening. Mcafee displayed this error:

When we tested, this site attempted to make unauthorized changes to our test PC by exploiting a browser security vulnerability. This is a serious security threat which could lead to an infection of your PC.

I got that message in Buriram after trying to open a thread. It was of some interest to the gentleman who designed the Buriram ex-pats website.

Now I'm seeing the following message as well as the Royal Thai Police message pop up randomly:

TTP/1.0 302 Moved Temporary
Location: http://w3.mict.go.th
Connection: close
Content-type: text/plain

I'm guessing all ISP's data passes through the MICT (Thai Ministry of Information and Communication Technology) and they could possibly be testing out new filtering software. :-k
