Taxi to Vientiane

Want to know how to get somewhere, or where something is, ask here.

Taxi to Vientiane

Postby cardew » January 17, 2011, 9:11 pm

I recently did a visa run from Phuket to Lao via Udon Thani.

I have a friend who wants to do the same.

However, he needs a wheelchair to move around easily.

Is it possible to get a taxi from Udon Thani airport that will take him all the way to Vientiane, and one to bring him back?

If it is, does anyone have a contact phone number, preferably English speaking, though he does speak some Thai?

Any idea of cost?

Thank you

Not sure about special services but a lady from Nong Khai will arrange everything from Udon to Vientiane

Her phone number is Nyom at 081 7170639. Normal charge is Thai Baht 1,500 from pick-up to hotel.

Hi,
Just a suggestion. Seeing that yuor friend needs a wheel chair. Would it not be easier for him if he caught a flight to Vientiane airport. Less hassle if he is coming from Phuket.
Hope he gets sorted out.
Cheers Doug.

There are direct, cheap Air Asia flights from Phuket to Udon Thani, whereas flights to Vientiane involve changing at Bangkok and are a lot more expensive.

The taxi sevice above looks fine.

Thank you.
