Was anyone really surprised

Postby Bump » September 7, 2006, 11:49 am

All over the headlines today Bush admits secret CIA prisons.

That surprise anyone?

Now I will say what I have to say about this the world in a battle with no clear frontlines, no truly defined nation to to be at war with.

If we stand a chance at all accepted norms of fair play in killing each other are not going to be effective. that in itself is why guerrila warfare is so sucessful.

Do I like personal freedoms changed, no, but I can accept that if it means my family is safe.

Is this the first time this has happened in America history, no.

The amazing thing about Americas legal system is the it constantly changes with the changes of time. Since it is based on Brittish law, you truly see the same thing in the UK.

Now what I believe is a follows all though some of the freedoms I have enjoyed in the past are being restricted. That will change with time if the threats are no longer there.

Am I apologetic to the world for these actions, or do I feel sorry for these guys, not one bit. If thier inconvience in life saved one other life as far as I'm concerned it is price well paid.

Do I think the CIA will pay a price if they are wrong, yep sure do. Not today, but someday. We are a country of whistle blowers and when things get to far out of hand some poor schmuck will step up and get the ball rolling.

Me I'm grateful to the men and women who make it possible for me and mine to exist in this world. They don't all where military uniforms.

By the way I hate war, I think it is most horrible concept that Human mankind has created. But I'm also a realist, it is here and has to be dealt with.

I think I'm about ten years ahead on my political comments, Don't really like to cooment as I'm not an expert. These were not comments on what the answers are, cause that I have no clue on, just how I feel about them

When the contracting out of prisoner interrogation was first reported here in OZ some time back, one of the locations mentioned was the NE around Udon.
