In my Good News for Aging Brains presentation I talked about singing as good exercise for the brain. Now you can find out. A couple of us are defying the myth "a good voice" is a prerequisite to having fun and we are starting the ONE VOICE Thailand chorus.
First meeting is this Wednesday, 17 September, 1400 at the International Christian Fellowship building, which is:

on Thahan Road, opposite the Military Hospital, about 50 m down from the Nissan dealer (same side) and under the big pink, yellow and blue Pioneer sign. And no, you don't have to be a Christian and no, it's not going to a church choir.

Not convinced? Check this out: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_HOBr8H9EM

If you can talk, you can sing ....

Proved by Telly Savalas :-k

Think it's called RAP or something similar

She obviously hasn't been to too many partys in Thailand has she :-"

Two or three hours of having the mike passed around is enough to convince ANYONE that the statement is clearly untrue

There was a time, as recently as a generation past we all sang. We sat around campfires, we sat around the parlor piano and we sang for pure enjoyment and the pleasure of each other's company. Ordinary folks like you and me thought nothing of learning to play the piano or the banjo, just well enough to pound out a few popular tunes because singing was what people did together. If karaoke or rap or Telly Savalas is your image of "singing" I beg of you to look at this http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=I_HOBr8H9EM and reconsider.

There were 3 of us on Wednesday at the ICF. I wouldn't call it singing yet,but we had fun. Meeting again this Sunday at ICF at 2PM. Anyone know anything about music. We thought that might help \:D/
