Udon Thani Outer Ring Road

could this be the start of the new outer ring road?.. its the start of something big thats for sure and I don`t think its a coincidence that its near a spot on the original route close to Wat Pa Ban Tat. there is also what appears to be a large site area that will probably be used for materials storage and running the project close by being built. will investigate further today on my jakayan...

New ring road or Nong Saeng connection to Udon hmm..its a double lane project .

the best I can extrapolate from the native road gang is that its a new expressway running south to north from Nong Saeng to Udon Thani (which partially heads west to east probably to avoid villages)..

based on the information available it is possible that this could be part of the new ring road, but must stress this is pure conjecture.. just throwin it out their...
the yellow line indicates the new 1.6km double lane road that is currently being built. it seems to be heading in the direction that would connect it to the proposed eastern segment

sure is a big wide road they are building here.. the local workers says its a road that will run from Nong Seung to Udon.. not sure if I`m buyin into that.. anyway, the juries still out...

On the similar topic the ring rd ... had to breaking a rye smile this morning as went round the newly completed ring road section from Big C Nadee toward Mariwan Villas only to find the road guys out in force re surfacing ..2 WEEKS AFTER the grand ribbon cutting opening ceremony with all the dignitaries and pristine white cloth covered chairs ... I know the roads department is ONE OF the areas where huge payments are made to get contracts but 2 weeks seems a bit of a joke...some folks are making zillions from Thailands dodgy road laying and subsequent re laying and re laying and re laying

I'd heard that the government was cracking the whip on enforcing all aspects of their contract for the west side ring road 4 lane project.. It seems they've held the contractor's feet to the fire a number of times to correct construction issues.

false alarm.. I think it is a new bypass road of the Wat Pa Ban Tat. NOT part of the new ring road
