Transferring VHS to CD...where in Udon?
I am having some old family movies in VHS format sent to me here in Udon from the US and would like to have them edited and transfer portions of them to a digital CD format so I can store them on my PC. (I'll be editing out images of the former wife...Ha!) Does anyone know of a shop in Udon that can do this for me at a reasonable price? Your comments and suggestions are much appreciated in advance.
Colossians 2:8-10...See to it that no one takes you captive through philosophy and empty deception, which are based on human tradition and the spiritual forces of the world rather than on Christ. For in HIM dwells all the fullness of the GODHEAD bodily; and you are complete in HIM, who is the head of all principality and power.

Had a VHS video put on CD about 10 yrs ago Semp, but don't know if they still have same equipment available. Was in the Fuji film shop opposite what was Steve's restaurant and Mojo's ..... if it's still there. Was quite expensive even then.

On the corner of Srichomcheun and Naresuan, just behind the jail house, there's a place that advertises this service. I can see the red sign on google street view, but can't make out the phone number.

You could buy one of these USB A/V Capture dongles for $6 US
https://www.aliexpress.com/store/produc ... 91423.html
use an A/V cable from your VHS machine... aha you probably don't have a VHS machine do you? silly me
I guess if they are shipping the tapes they can ship a small VHS machine as well?
I use these for CCTV cameras. One of these and a cheap SBC (like Raspberry Pi) and you have a networked camera

See if also they can get it onto MP4 file as no doubt CD and DVD might not be around for too many more years.
If not for that reason, then because MP4 is a bit more universal these days, especially if you upload to Youtube, the video might be up for years after.

Yep, that's the way it should be. Udon Map Forum was invaluable to me when I first came here, but slowly but surely it turned into a slagging match and I lost interest. However, I still appreciate the wisdom and knowledge that a lot of the members contribute, especially the old-timers. Let's keep it up!!!!!! It should be about expats helping expats.stattointhailand wrote:Just like old times Semp ...... forum used to help forum members =D>

Long shot, but I dont suppose anyone has one of those attachments that go on the end of the camera lens and enables you to re photograph a slide. Got 4 or 5 boxes of slides of Benidorm c1950 - 1960 that I'd love to be able to put on the computer.
