Ban Chiang

Been there once about 3 years ago. It was one of my first experiences of duel pricing.

I cannot remember the exact prices, but the price of entrance for a Farang was a lot more than a Thai.

Personally, I would not go again.

All your posts noted. I'm not a great lover of pottery but if going to Udon, as I am then I should make the effort to visit such an historic site.
I will brace myself for a letdown and not expect too much and your comments have helped me put into perspective that its not as close as I originally thought.

Definately need to do abit of planning for this trip.

Like I said before lots of nice pots to buy for the garden, or ornaments for the house.
BC is about 1 Hour and a half from Udon.
As Galee mentioned the is massive duel pricing for whitey, it was so bad my Thai friends who took me there a few years ago were embrassed with the whitey charge.
