Press freedom in Thailand

"Do you know something the rest of us don't?"

It's not official yet, but the EC has, or shall we say, have not certified the winning of Thaskin's sister, along with over 100 other candidates of the opposition party. Having 30 days, 20 more before making final decision of disqualifying their wins. As a gesture of good faith, they also disqualified the present PM, abet, mute, since he failed to carry a majority of the party anyway. Giving him -O- chance of reappointment. So things remain the same, the people once again are silenced, and if they speak out, protest, will simply give those in power to institute ISA, and install another sure to fail interim government, since nobody will have a majority, though that last part is speculative on my part. Should be interesting, another silent, bloodless coup.

Press freedom in Thailand

Perhaps it would be better to wait until Tuesday, when the EC announces what is actually going to happen - along with the reasons. A couple of considerations:

Are all the "uncertified" candidates from PT?

Are uncertified candidates entitled to re-stand when a by-election is held (assuming they haven't been red carded)?

A bit premature to be crying "coup" I suspect.
