Problems Logging On? Please Read Here First!

Postby lee » May 26, 2008, 6:40 pm

I’m aware that several members are having problems logging in to the site. The problem has been intermittent over the last few months which has been making it very difficult to find the root cause. I believe the problem is mainly with Firefox but other browsers have had a couple of problems too.

In the mean time, if you’re experiencing login problems on either section of the website, try clearing your cookies and try again.

I'm very sorry for the inconvenience. Hopefully I’ll have this sorted soon, thanks for your patience.

You need to work on your comedy routine a bit more as well as your irony. I'd be happy to give you a few pointers... :|

Welcome to the forum SOM. You do realise nam som can be either orange juice or vinegar. Guess in your case its the latter.
Not bad going , 10 posts and already accused of being a troll, trying to organise a Brits only forum meeting and flaming.Yes it must be vinegar :lo

Thanks, lee!

However, you may not want to hear this ... My best experience in staying logged on to the forum is with Firefox v2.0.0.14.

IE7 (7.0.5730.11) has been temperamental for me.

if you are having the same log on problems as me, IE/Vista, if that makes a difference. i can log on to home page only, not thru forum or on a link if i hit reply and asked to log in. i can't open a link directly off home page, but i can open in another tab, i am usually still signed in and can reply in quick reply, if needing to do more, preview then submit, not thru post reply. if leaving home page open, i may have to refresh, and get the 'transfer info/retry' window, and that signs me back in, usually.

the inconvenience is with such a slow conx, opening the home page w/ads, takes much longer than just logging in forum, then i could use 'post since last signed in', but not to be, till things straightened out.

oh well.

Mine is similar, but IE and WinXP.

Can't log on anywhere other than the home page using either browser (Firefox or IE).
