Quick pick versus chick pick

Postby parrot » December 1, 2011, 9:05 pm

Two contrasting stories caught my attention this week:
One - the story of three wealth managers from Connecticut who bought a single powerball lottery ticket and won....to the tune of $254 million dollars. They bought a single $1.00 ticket at a gas station using the quick-pick method (you allow the lottery system to arbitrarily select your numbers).

Two - the story of a deformed chick (as in chicken) born in Nakhon Phanom. The chick was born with 4 legs. The story in ThaiRath Newspaper tells of some villagers who believe that such events can bring good luck. According to the village khamnan, when a deformed animal, such as this chick, is born, Isaan tradition is to parade it around with incense and candles in hopes of receiving good fortune, with some folks believing the animal may foretell the lottery draw.

It's just my guess that the folks in Nakhon Phanom didn't choose 408147, today's winning Thai Lotto number.....and I'll guess that they didn't win the two digit draw......02.....as the chick had 4 legs, not 2.

For those not fortunate enough to receive the chick's lottery pick, today's winning Thai lottery number was 408147. The 2-digit pick: was it 04?
Guess again: it was 02.
