Reliable place to send a large fax from?

Postby muscle » December 26, 2006, 10:48 am

I need to send a very large fax, 23 pages, today back to the states. does any one know of a business quality machine available that won't jam up after 3 or four pages like most of the consumer grade machines in the shops around here? I am over by the Ban Hoy.
I tried e mailing (govt office) and had no luck. Either in the 2 20MB e mails that I sent or by sending each attachment alone. Either this person's mailbox is full or the firewall is wacko. Thanks for any suggestions with this.

Muscle you might try here at Pop Pop's. I can't guarantee that my fax machine won't jam up but could give it a try.

Thanks.I will check out the options and get back to you Pop Pop. I can see now this will not be an inexpensive proposition but unfortunatly is necessary. I appreciate the suggestions.

You could try Jigsaw in Soi Benjang 1. Its a translation office, we use them to send faxes. It's a Soi that connects Pop's Shop with Ban Chang Road, not that far from Ban Hoy. It's in a little row of shophouses.

With 23 pages to send, you might want to check into buying your own FAX. might save a couple of baht, plus have it for future use :)

Last time I sent some it was a no go on the other end, ended up attaching to email using photos which worked fine

Thanks for all the suggestions. No land line here, or I would have bought a fax. I am cheap.
We are just here for a few months for the wife to get a beauty school diploma, then it is back to Laos. Pop Pop fixed me up and I truely appreciated the GI converstaion. It isn't until you run into another soldier that you realize that we all share such common experiences. Not that folks who have not been military are anything less. You pay the taxes that keep us going, along with your support. It's just that I enjoyed the chat with PopPop and would also recommend his shop to anyone needing the straight scoop on computer questions.

I would have enjoyed that option. My great grandfathers were Norwegian merchant seaman which is why I have a Chinese geat grandmother and a Nigerian great grandmother on the other side. The family photo from the 1890s looks like an UN delegation. I was the only student in my small Minnesota community who qualified as being a minority and actully garnared extra funds for the school district. I qualified as being both Asian and Black. Not to be racist, but unfortunatly I inherited the commonly atributed atributes of neither. I am lousy at math and can't dance or play basketball. I can sing gospel and actually cried at the finding that we had lost James Brown today.
My very jealous Lao wife would use her new barbering skills on me (below the waist) should she hear of me enjoying the company of another lady. Harry does serve a darn fine hamburger in a great atmosphere though.
PopPop took care me me in an atmosphere that caused less marital strife.
According to the wallahs in DC, everytning went through ok.
Thanks for all the suggestions.
