Renew Road Tax on Motorcycle

Hi All, My little Honda's road tax runs out soon, anyone know where it is renewed or do most motorcycle shops do it for you for a fee?

Me being a lazy one, I get my M/C tax done when i get my car insurance and tax. They are due about the same time. The insurance firm does not charge me for this service, even though they don't insure M/B's. Which is very good of them.
Have you tried the place in AEK hospital where they do the lic. etc. Might be worth a try. Or if you have a car insurance ask the firm you are insured with. Also as you say, ask a M/C shop.

As it's a motorcycle and not a car, the correct place to go is 'Ban Hoy'.
Driving anti-clockwise around the ring road, when you get to the junction to turn right to Nong Khai... you turn left there, and some 250 - 300 metres down on the left hand side, there is a Government building (purple colour)... it's just past a Mazda dealership. There you can re-tax your bike.

Motorcycle tax and insurance can be renewed at any post office up till it's 5th birthday. After that it needs a certificate of road worthiness. The testing station normally renews both for you. Don't know where they are in Udon but in Nong Wau Sor there is one just before the market coming from Non Wai .

There is a main post office on Phosi road in Udon... the testing station is where I explained in my previous post.

Many Thanks everyone, will be in Udon on thursday and as the bike is now 5 years old will have to have the test done first as per location as so kindly given by Stevo, again many thanks for all your help.

my bikes go to the test station on the way to the presidents hotel on the right side, look for the yellow gear sign, thats the Thai sign for vehicle testing. (across from the polytechnic school)
you may have to drop off the bike and pick it up later, I have them do:
insurance
"safety check"
pay road tax
they take your green book to Aek udon for a 50 baht fee

if you go in the AM, the whole thing is finished by 3pm

You can renew the tax at the office in AEK Udon or the Post Office.
The test centre is almost opposite Makro, if unsure call into AEK licence office and he will give you a map.
The test centre will give you a certificate, cost about 60 Baht (if I recall correctly)
Dont forget the green book and a copy of your insurance when renewing the tax.
Can all be done (with going to AEK first for map) within an hour.

Quick and Easy just make sure you have all paperwork in order<>Insurance, etc
