You know parrot, I've got to agree with you. After living in Thailand for a few years I don't give much thought to the "cleanliness" thing any more. Its not that don't care about cleanliness, it just that if we eat, drink or do most anything outside of our own home, I've come to accept that things are what they are and that's that.
Of course in a clinic or hospital environment we would expect a higher standard to be met, but I rarely think about it any longer and haven't lost any sleep over it. Like you, I pretty much just hope for the best. No need to worry about something that I have very little, if any, control over.
