Road disrepairs

Post by gprit » July 26, 2014, 4:52 pm

Now don't laugh...but is there a number to report a really really bad main road?? On the south ring road near Baan Chonrada, where they are making a dual carriageway. They hacked across to the canal and the 'fill in has just sunk.
It is very dangerous !!

thanks

Road disrepairs

Starting point I would think would be highway hotline or traffic control center in this link

http://www.udonmap.com/udonthaniforum/i ... 28-15.html

Otherwise check out this website or their facebook for help
http://www.udonthani.go.th/home/ and translate to English

Have gone slowly over that problem many times, saw them digging it up a few months ago presumably to get a large pipe connection but have failed to properly fix the surface 8)

Road disrepairs

I see they have cordoned off that area so maybe the OP has pulled it off :-k and traffic is now using part of the newly laid ringroad but noticed already that it has already broken up in certain parts
Going to have to resurface those problem areas soon otherwise the rainy season will just make it worse, cannot believe they have used a substandard mix or any siphoning off from the road budget to the detriment of us road users :^o

Have a shortcut to go to Ngee Soon out pass airport. Used for years, but a couple of years ago started build houses along road, and what I call the prison, so with heavy truck traffic turned into pothole alley.

Last week went that way and all new black top paving, no lines painted yet, made me think of my Z3, nicely paved curvy road.

Monday went to Ngee Soon, road now has painted lines, but after a couple of k, tearing up black top, big square patches, one would hate to come across at night. Kinda of looks like someone lost their phone, think here, well maybe over there.

Its the same world wide, Pave it, then a couple of days later someone needs to dig it up for some unknown reason.

We had a road locally that was black topped and a pleasure to drive (but a very minor road, very little traffic). Then the wet season came and the surface deformed with every truck and potholes appeared everywhere. One year on hardly anyone can use it.

Bring back the good ol days when all the cables were on posts up in the air and all the sewage etc was in ditches in the middle or along the side of the road ........ only thing under the road in them days was the foundations of the previous (probably Roman) road, so nothing to dig it up for
