Ronnie - Aznyron

Apparently cantankerous old Ronnie - who many of us longer-term UM members will remember - is undergoing major cancer surgery in the US.

I am sure that we (I certainly do) wish him all the best in this very difficult time, and look forward to his return to Udon. =D>

Not every ones cuppa tea maybe but i for one think hes a a gem , straight talker , a ver interesting guy i truly hope he gets thru the surgery and full strenght again , no doubt he will be having some time with his grand kids before the big op on the 29th .

I wouls also echo the above views.

I have certainly missed his “refreshingly blunt” input both in person (on my last visit) and on the forum.

While I don’t by any means agree with all of his views, he has come out with a few astute “Emperor has no clothes” observations on finance matters which made me realise that sometimes I can’t see the wood for the trees #-o

OT hopes Ronnie gets well soon. Apparently he is connected to the New York mafia so he will be taken care of. I've spent a good few days and nights getting paraletic in his good company. Ronnie doesn't touch alcohol so it must have been a nightmare for him.

I talked to his wife a couple days ago. He is doing ok. They removed part of his colon? I think. She is trying to get a visa so she can join him in the states.

Cutting out part of the colon seems to be standard procedure for cases of bowel cancer. Hopefully it has not spread, and Ronnie makes a good recovery.

Depends where the colon removal is, the closer to the anal pathway, the more post op issues such as Colostomy bags etc.

Ronnie had posted on another forum , he has had the op and is on the mend .... tho still painful ,,,,,,,,,,,, not enuff to stop him talking.

I'm happy to hear he is on the mend. I think he would be happier in the states. That's OK this is not everyones cup of tea.
