Rugby League-NSW -v-Qld, Jingjoes Aussie Bar today.

Today, (Wed) is the first of three 'State of origin' rugby league matches held in Australia. One of the toughest contact sports going around, and a spectacular event put on by the NRL.

We will be watching it live on the big screen at Jingjoes Aussie bar from 4.30pm. The bar is located just down from Makro heading towards the city on the same side of the road, soi opposite NB Hotel, just follow the yellow and black kangaroo signs.

Have to agree with you state of origin is mates against mates will never forget king Wally at lang park in the early ninet'ys fighting all comers even when he was sent off he was still fighting. going down the tunnel. Deff a seies to watch pity big martin bella stopped playing. and Sironen.

Qld 28-NSW 18.
IMO most of the NSW players did not step up to the plate, Craig Wing and his mate made inroads into Qld but not enough fire in the belly of the others. OK a lot of newcomers on the team, maybe the 2nd match will be a match. The brilliance of Slater and Thurston for Qld, little wonder the other countries want them on their side, simply magic, congratulations to Qld a solid and entertaining start to the series.

First Jameson on me Mark, thanks. Vlad, Martin Bella and Siro, they certainly did know what it was to put your body on the line for their states, absolutely colossal players who did ''State of Origin proud.

Where do you stop when you mention those blokes, Chris Close, King Wally Lewis, big Mal Meninga, Paul Harrogan, little Alfie Langer, Blocker Roach, Peter Sterling, Fatty Vautin, ET, Dale Shearer, Trev Gillmeister, Laurie Daley, Ricky Stuart, the list goes on, but I better stop.

Thats ok wazza. I forgot Ian Roberts, a player that would rather have been carried off the field through sheer exhaustion rather than walking or limping off. He also did 'State of Origin' and Australia proud, a pleasure to watch a superb athlete.

Now wazza dont forget, Wallabies-Barbarians today at 4.30p......And Australia -West Indies T20 cricket today 7.30pm....And GP2 series from Sardinia...And F1 from Turkey 6.30pm Sunday.....AND the clincher, the mighty All Blacks - France 2.30pm 13 June.
