Sa-mack is dead

Postby Texpat » November 25, 2009, 12:06 am

He died today from liver cancer in Bumrungrad.

Thought he was pretty much a pumpkin-headed loudmouth ... but he has something more to claim than the current PM.

He was elected in a democratic, public election by the people -- not installed by some phantom, mysterious element we're not allowed to discuss.

RIP Samak. At least you tried.

Texpat,He was elected by the parliment which was elected by the people!Following the ''democratic process' of Thailand!
Samak seemed like an old fool to me.It seemed like ,he was stepping on his tongue, when he opened his mouth, most of the time!
May he rest in peace!

Seems ironic though that he lost his premiership because he also appeared on a cooking program. Pitiful reason when compared to his successors , don't you think ?

As Stan says, he was nominated by his own party to lead a coalition which had the majority of seats in the Parliament, and therefore became PM.

He was similarly "un-nominated" by his own party after the cooking show verdict, resulting in Thaksin's brother-in-law Somchai becoming PM.
