Tex, honestly i don't recall but i will agree with you that at this juncture probably the immediate relatives have been notified and some type of public notice for the friends of the gent might be thoughtful. this type of reporting is nothing new. just a few months ago on this same channel a french national attempted to take his life at another prominent establishment locally. the video was on the scene with his body on the gurney dressed only in shorts and footage of
the front of the business. i'm afraid in patters they have been doing this type of thing for a long time now and for
whatever reason, farangs in distress are perceived as news. probably time better spent researching real stories.

Does it really matter what his name is ?? Anyone knowing him would surely have been informed by now !!

We are just getting reports at my old Rugby Club near Birmingham that the suicide in question was that of an ex-fellow player who I knew very well in his younger days. Your forum suggests there is some secrecy about his name but can someone please at least confirm or deny his surname is Adams.

Sorry about your friend but there is no secrecy about the name . I originally posted after listening to a news broadcast that didn't reveal it and I believe Cali saw it on TV but it was so quick he didn't make note of it .I still am unaware of it . May I suggest you contact the tourist police in Udon who were directly involved in the aftermath of the incident. They will have the name on their records . They speak English and are very helpful.Or , as an after thought you could ring the Lotus Condotel where it happened. I think they are a sponsor on the forum which will give you the phone number .
